A large amount of people have questioned my motives in starting a blog about oil, and the only reason that I can give them is that I find in genuinely interesting, much in the same way that I find religion interesting. It drives people to do things that they would not normally do, and I wager that the first person who discovered oil would not have been able to predict the massive influence that it would have on culture, finance, business and politics. Besides of course religion, I cannot think of one other thing that is such a driving force in the modern world to the extent that no matter what the economic background or where you come from, all countries are willing to fight for it. So that is, in a nutshell why I decided to start a website on this. I will hopefully be able to update this regularly with news, legislation, and my point of view in the whole oil debate. I will also have friends and other guest writers giving their uninfluenced point of view. Watch this space!
